Following a traumatic incident, young medical student James Hayman (Namir Smallwood) moves to a rural hospital to start over. Noticing that James is having difficulty connecting with patients, Dr. Harrison (veteran stage and film actor Michael Potts) suggests he take a course focused on patient relations and deeper connections with patients. James begins to be haunted by demons from his past when he is consumed by the case of a young asthmatic patient (Sidney Flanigan, NEVER SOMETIMES SOMETIMES ALWAYS) who is experiencing mysterious symptoms. His grip on reality begins to slip as his disturbing nightmares, anxious speculations, and physical injuries collide with the harsh realities of the medical world. In this sequel to SAINT FRANCES and prequel to GHOSTLIGHT, director Alex Thompson brings together a strong cast of veteran actors in a humanistic and unconventional take on the genre.
