After the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, makes a play to take over the reins of Gotham’s criminal underworld. Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about how they are in the criminal underworld. Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of The Penguin to smoke a cigarette in The Batman (2022), but it didn’t work out. In his own series, however, the character is depicted as a casual smoker who prefers cigars.
So the first episode is done and it was great
The DC Studios logo is set in a rainy Gotham alley. The umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Appearing in Graham Norton i gosti: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024).
This is a New York gangster, a smart guy
I’ve never seen Farrell put so much effort into a character. I mean, yes, he’s wearing a thick suit, but you’d never know it. His attitude, body language and voice make you immerse yourself in the character and see only the Penguin. It has no connection to the other live TV Penguins, Burgess Meredith or Robin Lord Taylor.
He is a Scorsese mobster, but without the sharp tongue
The plot is simple, similar to Lord Taylor’s Penguin on the CW’s Gotham. The Penguin is the middle man in a mafia organization. Up until now he has done his time, slowly moved into the mob and then, when the Riddler blows up the city wall and his boss is killed in the movie, he sees an opportunity to move up in the world. Now begins the game of crosses, double crosses and I guess triple crosses.
