This will be the third attempt to create a television series based on the world of “Cruel Games” (1999)
Tale
After being bullied at an elite college, half-siblings Caroline and Lucien seek to maintain their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. The 2000 live-action sequel, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with Amy Adams replacing Sarah Michelle Gellar as Catherine Merteuil, was originally a scripted series and was later remade into a feature film. Gellar would later reprise her role as Katherine in the 2016 NBC pilot Cruel Games (2016), which was not ordered to series.
What do they do?
It was followed by Cruel Games (1999). Seriously. What were they thinking?
Why do girls find him attractive?
The guy who plays Lucien is the worst. He looks 14 years old, he is neither good nor honest. In the scene where he catches the attention of the vice president’s daughter, he looks like a kid trying to look like Ferris Bueller.
There are some good characters, but not enough to hold the attention
I miss the days when a movie or series didn’t consciously ask to cover every aspect, including every socio-demographic and sexual preference. Or, at least, do it so that it doesn’t look like coercion. Perhaps they should have visited a few colleges to get an idea of what was going on.
we need help
If yes, and this is what they found…
