In the first episode, the viewer learned that CHS lived above Oliver, who lived above Mabel, with that elevator scene. BUT the opener has CHS in an apartment on the 7th floor, Oliver on the 8th, Mabel on the 9th – in reverse order and well below CHS' The actual proper high in the series..
Season 4, not so much
I watched this perfectly assembled cast religiously for 3 seasons. The path taken just doesn’t do anything to keep the spell under observation.
The storyline was always exactly what you needed to watch the next episode
While I can understand wanting to mix it up a bit to keep it interesting, I just don’t see the need to include other named actors in order to pivot to another storyline. I’m sure everyone in the viewing audience has their own take on this changed season, but for me to keep the original cast of great actors and just change things up.
