A unique profile of British pop superstar Robbie Williams. Getting permission to film the lavish dance sequence on London’s Regent Street took a year and a half, as it is owned by the British royal family. Two nights before filming was scheduled, after a week of rehearsals, Queen Elizabeth II died and filming had to be postponed. Everyone had to be paid anyway, including shop owners and crew, and the production’s insurance didn’t cover losses due to the death of a monarch. The producers had to raise additional funds to film the sequence, which was shot five months later. The title character, Robbie Williams, is depicted as a chimpanzee. Robbie Williams is not actually a chimpanzee.
